A Dark Idea

If the young people on track to become America's ruling class are overwhelmingly using Google search and Gmail -- and they are -- is it the case that the company is going to be in a position to blackmail almost every future presidential candidate, Supreme Court Justice, and Congressperson? I think so! of course, they probably won't, but still.

I think it's safe to say that Google's search engine and Gmail users constitute a group that is much, much larger than America's future ruling class (whatever or whoever that is supposed to be), so I wouldn't worry. Too much data to mine. But, you should probably clear your cookies and caches regularly and use anonymizing software, if this is something you have particular concerns about.
